How did I get here?
It’s been a long and fruitful journey. I started my ‘office’ career as an Assistant Accountant, but after watching accountant after accountant knee deep in frustration with pencil and eraser working furiously at month end, and plus I was quite frankly bored; I decided I was on the wrong path. I loved working with money, so what to do? The Accounts Receivable position became vacant and I decided to give that a go, thinking it was only a stop gap while I thought about my next step. The rest, as they say, is history. I took to it like a duck to water. It was a tough role because I often had to repossess equipment, but every new role after that threw up new and interesting challenges and I relished the development of my own personality and skills in relation to customers and the business, be it Corporates, SME’s or Not for Profit sectors. I no longer repossess equipment; but put my customer service skills gained, to good work. Starting my own business is another phase of my ongoing journey
